Difference between large and small umbrellas

Without hardly realizing it, we already have summer upon us. A very beautiful station but at the same time a bit annoying due to the scorching days, so there is nothing worse than not being prepared for it. To be sure that you are always protected from the sun’s rays, it is worth thinking about buying a good parasol. Next, we are going to see the main differences and advantages between sizes: Large or small.

A small umbrella can be considered more or less when its diameter does not exceed 2.50 meters. In general, its opening system is manual. They are usually made of aluminum, although there are steel models that are even stronger, but aluminum as a material is lighter, which is why it is much more common to use it for umbrellas. Although it should be noted that not because it is small does it mean of worse quality. There are also very solid and resistant models of small size. Their main advantage is manageability: they are lighter and allow greater mobility. On the other hand, it has an obvious disadvantage: the shadow area is smaller, also if we want to cover a large area we will need more units, so we will have many more masts that take up more space.

As for large umbrellas, their frame is usually made of aluminum and is normally fixed, it cannot be moved or picked up at night. It is very heavy and they are too big to disassemble every day. However, it has several advantages to take into account: with a single parasol, therefore only one pole, we will have much more free space on the terrace, either for tables and/or chairs. Another favorable factor is the possibility of completely covering its sides in winter, turning the umbrella into a space totally insulated from the cold and rain. It is also possible to put rain gutters and install lighting and heating etc.
